The captain just came over the intercom and told us that there would be about a one-hour delay before take off because there was a typhoon still clearing out of southeast Asia which hit a couple of days ago (the Philippines, in fact), and there is another one on the way. For that reason there is only a narrow corridor for all flights northbound and southbound for southeast Asia, and we need to wait our turn to get into that flight corridor. Interesting. Good thing I brought along some reading material!El piloto apenas nos hizo un anuncio: vamos a necesitar esperar una hora más antes de empezar nuestro vuelo porque hay un huracano que todavía está causando problemas en el sureste de Asia (que toco tierra en las Filipinas hace unos días) y pues hay un otro huracano que está llegando. Por esa razón, hay solo una “zona” pequeña donde pueden volar los vuelos en dirección norte y sur para llegar en el sureste de Asia, y necesitamos esperar nuestro turno para entrar en este “zona de vuelo”.
